Former Homeless Pit Lands Dream Home!

Local Shelter Dog Finds FURever Home After Graduating Hounds Town Charities Training Program.

Dill, a long-time resident of the Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter, was adopted shortly after completing a rehabilitation program at Hounds Town Charities. The charity, a 501(c)3 that focuses on rehabilitating “red” dogs at high risk of euthanization at local dog shelters, took Dill into their program to work on his leash biting and aggression issues.

As it turns out, Dill was just a little frustrated by his circumstances and his behavior issues were manageable. He was lucky enough to find a human couple who understood his issues and accepted him for who he is. He is now living the vida loca in his new home and even has his own Facebook page! Please watch his moving and inspiring story here, and help spread the word about his friend Cappuccino, who is still waiting patiently for a forever home.
