Local Dog Lovers to Open Hounds Town USA’s Fourth Location

Oct 23, 2016

Interactive daycare, overnight boarding, dog grooming, and pet care facility Hounds Town USA is poised to open its fourth location in Fall 2016 in the Commack area of Long Island, New York. The popular pet care facility has three existing locations in Ronkonkoma, Farmingdale, and Port Jefferson and offers pet owners a straightforward and honest approach to pet care.

Thomas and Teri have been dog lovers all their lives. Although both had dogs as children, neither had dogs as an adult … until Jackie the Jack Russell. The couple adopted Jackie—a rescue from Puerto Rico—from Kent Animal Shelter several years ago. Not only did Jackie Russell’s life change that day, but so did Thomas’ and Teri’s.

Teri was working long hours as a financial advisor and began taking Jackie to Hounds Town Ronkonkoma. “As a new dog parent, I was apprehensive about doggie daycare, wondering if it was the right setting for a timid rescue dog,” says Teri. “Mike Gould, owner of Hounds Town USA, allayed all my fears by sending videos of Jackie playing and having a great time at Hounds Town USA. That’s when I knew that owning a Hounds Town USA would be the next phase of my professional journey,” she says.

After months of searching for the right location, Teri and Thomas will be announcing a grand opening date of Hounds Town Commack any day now. Their location will provide much-needed fully interactive doggie daycare, overnight boarding, grooming, and pet taxi services for the Hauppauge, Smithtown, Commack, Kings Park, Northport areas and beyond. Stay tuned for details!
