Murfreesboro Doggie Daycare
Doggy Daycare Franchise to Open 8th location, in Nashville
Fully interactive pet care franchise Hounds Town USA has partnered with entrepreneurs and animal lovers Kenny and Shelly Adair to open the very first location in the Nashville market, bringing the system out of its native New York. After a two-year search for a pet-related business to invest in, Kenny stumbled upon Hounds Town one day. “When I read that Hounds Town USA looks at the business from a dog’s perspective, not the human owner, this made more sense to me than anything I had heard in our two-year search,” explains Kenny.
A native Tennessean, Kenny has a 30+ year background in sales and management while his wife Shelly, a Wisconsin native (a “true cheesehead Packer fan!” as she says) recently left her corporate advertising job for the simpler life. “I finally realized corporate life is not where I want to die,” says Shelly. “I retired from the resort business to do this. What I love. Working with animals.”
And working with animals she will. Hounds Town USA locations have collectively hosted nearly 700,000 canine (and feline) visitors since the company’s inception in 2001. The roots of the business in such a vast knowledge and understanding of dogs is part of what drew Kenny and Shelly to it. “Hounds Town is a franchise concept with room for the individual owner to have creativity to run the business and have a vision for the local community and market place, with a reasonable startup cost so the business is not under fire from Day 1, giving the business and new owner the chance to grow the business the right way and develop under the leadership of Mike and (Hounds Town USA President) Jackie,” says Kenny.
The Adairs plan to open their location in the Murfreesboro area, which is abundant with new growth and folks heading to work who need reliable and trustworthy pet care. “Our corporate team has been looking for the right partners to move into this market with for some time, and I am thrilled we have found Kenny and Shelly to partner with,” says Mike Gould, Founder and CEO. “Their combined sales, marketing, and management experience coupled with their knowledge of animals is a winning combination and we look forward to helping them grow this market into multiple locations.”
Hounds Town is poised to become a major player in the pet care space in the coming year. In addition to new locations opening in Mineola and Hicksville, NY, and Nashville, TN, the doggie daycare franchise will also be opening two locations in New Jersey. Details to be announced soon. Stay tuned!
